FEED-IN TARIFF INCREASE UNTIL 3 MARCH 2012
With all the recent uncertainty and the much publicised Feed-in Tariff (FIT) rate reduction following the Governments announcement in October 2011 of a substantial drop in FIT rates from 12th December 2011, we are delighted to advise that on 25th January 2012 the Court of Appeal has upheld the High Court ruling that Government cuts to the Feed-in Tariff were unlawful. Great news for those looking at installing Solar PV as this new ruling means that until 3rd March 2012 any new (retrofit) installations of less than 4 kWp will receive the higher previous rate of 43.3p guaranteed for 25 years. Any installations carried out after 1st April 2012 will receive the substantially lower rate of 21p guaranteed for 25 years.
